The Elphinstone Grad Malibu trip is quickly approaching. We appreciate your patience while the details are sorted out. The travel schedule is now finalized.

Please look over the following checklist carefully! The weather can vary greatly at Malibu but it won’t prevent us from enjoying this beautiful outdoor location.

Monday
• Malibu health form goes home with this newsletter. Please note: You do not need a doctor to sign this paper but you must sign and complete the remainder of the information. Emergency info, allergies and health number are the critical parts. We have a doctor on site.

• Car pool arrangements begin. Please note: You and your student are responsible for contacting Darin Macey to arrange a seat up/back to Egmont. Parents attending Malibu as helpers will be taking students. We also have a school van for those who do not have a spot in the parent’s cars.

• SD#46 Trip Permission Form (Elhpinstone) was due last week but may still be accepted. Contact Paul Bishop.

Tuesday
• Return the Malibu health form to the office.
• Find your camera and board shorts/swim suit.

Wednesday
• Pack your bag! Bring the following:
- rain gear, swimming suits, good walking footwear, warm clothes, camera a book, sunscreen, $ for the camp store and things to do in down time.
• Note: all linens are provided (sheets, blankets, towels and pillows).
• There is no cell reception. In emergencies the camp number is 778.331.7944

Thursday
• Cheques for the parent helper transportation fee handed in to office. Please make out to Elphinstone Secondary for $76.50.
• Backpacks/Bags brought to school on Thursday; clearly labeled with name. They will be transported in a truck.

Friday
As we have two departure times for the water taxis to Malibu we are leaving Elphi in two waves.
- First wave leaves at 11:00 am (meet in cafeteria at 10:30 am)
- Second wave leaves at 1:30 pm (meet in cafeteria at 1:00 pm)
Cars will be parked at Malibu landing in Egmont.

Sunday
To help make the on-site time equitable the first students up will take the first shuttle back to Egmont. This leaves at approximately 11:00 am; the second shuttle at 1:00 pm.
